Artists, creators, and the people who support them are the beautiful part of the world.
It isn’t easy. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of struggling. More artists struggle all their lives than ones that find success.
And many of our most revered artists lived in poverty all their lives only to gain appreciation after death.
But it’s the things we create and the things we say that make this world a better place.
It’s the hope that lies in our dreams.
It’s the positivity and the understanding in our actions.
The critics and the people who go around finding reasons to tear things apart are the ugly part of the world.
They are the bitter, hopeless people who need to find fault wherever they look.
Anyone who tries to tell an artist what they can or can’t do obviously isn’t one.
But they have to wake up and be themselves. As miserable and angry as they are.
We get to wake up and dream and hope for things and create.
They will never know the joy that comes from listening back to a new song, playing a new film, seeing a new piece of art or a new book in print.
They can only pretend to understand.
No one has ever felt better from ripping someone down. They just sink further and further.
We, as a human race are capable of unspeakable cruelty. Over 1 million people have been killed by genocide in my lifetime.
There are hate crimes and violence in every city.
I know what side I am living on.
I want to be a healer, a dreamer, a believer. I want to have hope.
So, you can come on here and say what you will. From either side. I already know what I think about things.
If you are an artist, I will always support you in any way I can.
If you are a detractor, I live my life to defeat you.”
